I am a figurative oil painter employing the slow and meditative process to achieve closeness with my subjects. Specifically, by representing the figure alongside domestic worlds, I achieve a sense of connection through familiar, household objects. I’m interested in immortalizing moments in the lives of others, formalizing the mundane and unremarkable. By placing myself in domestic
environments as a step in my painting process, I’m able to create a cyclical connection between artist, subject, and
viewer.

Artists familiar with my practice were asked to write single-word descriptions of the work I create. (c. 2025)
